Hâsib et la Reine des Serpents by David B.
I love most of what David B. publishes, but one of my favourite stories of his is the frustratingly unfinished Chasseurs de Trésors series, set in a 1001 nights style mythical Arabia. Hâsib is more explicitly a 1001 Nights story. I haven't checked if it was fictitious of if it actually appears in one of the many 1001 nights versions. Ultimately, who cares: it's certainly in the spirit of the genre. It's also very inventive graphically (maybe a tad over the top at times) and hopefully, this one will be finished with the second volume.
