La Leçon de Jazz: Oscar Peterson by Antoine Hervé
Hervé is a wonderful French jazz pianist who a few years ago started a series of lecture concerts on various jazz luminaries. The concept is to mix the biographical, the musical, and the music itself to illustrate the first two. All music pieces are played with the awesome brothers Moutin on bass and drums. I felt that Hervé lacked a certain fluidity when he was talking (and trying to discreetly read his script) but otherwise this is a fantastic piece of music and musicology. I need to dig up them Oscar Peterson records.
