Le Carnaval Jazz des Animaux by the Amazing Keystone Big Band & Edouard Baer
A couple of years ago I got the Amazing Keystone Big Band's Pierre et le Loup et le Jazz (Peter and the Wolf and the Jazz) which I dearly love and listen to often. I was eagerly waiting for this new foray of one of the best big bands out there into classical children music. I'm not disappointed. Not only is this Jazz Carnaval musically brilliant, dark and brooding at times, lively and festive at others, but the narration (in French) by Edouard Baer is simply hilarious (although it scares Madeleine at times). Highly recommended, especially if you have kids, but even if you don't!
