Bosch Season 1
While I loved a good chunk of Connelly's Bosch novels (there were a few duds, but the early stuff was stellar) I was somewhat skeptical about any adaptation, fearing they would sensationalize the stories to excess. I was wrong. Dead wrong. Bosch Season 1 is a wonderful adaptation and more importantly a wonderful show that manages to be thrilling without resorting to Hollywood antics. Truly one of the best crime shows I've ever seen in TV format.
