The Night Manager
I have long been an unconditional fan of Hugh Laurie, from way before he climbed to global fame with Dr. House. I clearly wasn't going to miss out on The Night Manager, an adaptation of a novel by Le Carré. Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddelston) is trying to infiltrate the inner circle of Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie)'s illegal arm trade organization. This 6 episode series is short, wonderfully tense, and both leads are quite stellar as are most of the support cast. Truly wonderful mini-series, and it is such a pleasure to see Laurie play a genuine and convincing bad guy for once. Highly recommended.
