Ralph Azham is Trondheim's ongoing fantasy series. Born after Donjon's demise, it's more focused and less derivative, but shares many of the endearing characteristics of Donjon. It's eccentric without being overly wacky, it's action packed, and it outlines a long term plot that you actually want to uncover. These three early volumes set the story up in a realm where some kids manifest magical powers early on and are usually taken away from their parents to serve the realm. But there's something more sinister beneath that, and that's what Ralph is confronted to. Ralph as a hero is very similar to Donjon's Herbert: opinionated, bordering on "don't give a sh*t" at times but with his heart in the right place. Good stuff, need to read the other 6 or so volumes available.
