Hong Kong Yesterday by Fan Ho
This is the second monography of Fan Ho's work after The Living Theatre but the one that features the oldest photos. It's a stunning collection of work, with the golden Hong Kong morning light (I'm not certain it's morning, but I think it is) grazing Fan Ho's subjects. There honestly isn't an uninteresting shot in this collection, and I know I'll go back to it again and again. Fan Ho was truly a master of light, and the Hong Kong he depicts is no longer, but so compelling nonetheless.
