Mon Fiancé Chinois (My Chinese Fiancé) by Laure Garancher
A graphic novel about an (arranged) marriage between a Chinese man and a Hmong woman. The story is interesting and compelling, but the graphic novel is sadly marred by a bizarre genealogical narrative device that kept me lost at all times about who the central character was and which branch of the genealogy I was looking at. I also felt that it was an outsider's look into the story, which makes sense since the author is French. Not quite a success in my book.
