Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier

Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier

I loved Telgemeier's Smile and Sisters. Ghosts isn't autobiographical, unlike these two, but the set up is similar: two sisters, one a teenager. The heart of the story here is about a chronic disease that afflicts the younger sister, and it allows Telgemeier to touch gently upon sensitive topics like death through the imagery of the Mexican Day of the Dead. It's good, but not quite as powerful as Smile and Sisters.
