e by Adrian Belew Trio
To say that e is experimental would be an understatement. It's instrumental progressive rock, with rather short but thematically linked pieces. I was a little worried it would be too hermetic for my tastes, but I actually find it much more listenable than I expected. If you like King Crimson, you will find some commonalities with The Power to Believe, there are even chord structures and riffs that I'm pretty certain I heard there. But that's in part due to the later KC creation process, I guess. Anyway, it's a good album if that kind of heady rock is your thing. Not easy listening, but not inaudible either.
