(Midnight Diner)
This manga is a collection of little stories from the point of view of the owner and sole employee of a restaurant open only at night (the Midnight Diner of the title). It's about food, but more importantly about the social importance of food so while each story focuses on a dish, it's really more about why we like what we like and the night life. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's got the same kind of humane feel to it than Kim Dong Hwa's Red Bicycle. Superb.
