Lustrum by Robert Harris
Lustrum is the second of three novels by Harris set in the last years of the Roman Republic. The books are told in the voice of Cicero's secretary Tiro, and mix politics and suspense in Harris' unique way. I had read Imperium years ago and didn't remember much but it wasn't really a hindrance. I really enjoyed Lustrum which actually put a structure on all these characters and glimpses of stories that were still swirling in my brain from my years of Latin in High School. Magnificent. I'll try not to wait so long for the third installment.
