Frostbite by Albert Collins
I recently rediscovered Albert Collins and decided to dig into his discography. I should have been weary of this one though, simply because it's an Alligator record. I don't know what it was about Alligator's productions, but most of the albums sound the same (no matter who is playing on them) and are overproduced to hell and back. With a guitarist as fiery as Collins, it has a numbing effect that goes entirely contrary to the performer. Sadly not a very good album despite Collins' undeniable talent.
