Live in Boston 1966 by Junior Wells & the Aces
I'm a huge fan of Junior Wells, potentially irritating quirks included. His live albums are 2/3 music and 1/3 silly and nigh on incomprehensible banter, but that's part of the charm. This is (as far as I know) the earliest full live recording of his available, and the sound, while not perfect, is surprisingly good for a live recorded in 1966 by an artist that wasn't a household name back then. Junior's energy is there, in a kind of transition between his super energetic early days and the more soulful / laid-back Junior of the 70s. It's good stuff if not mind-blowing. Probably for Junior Wells completists or harmonica fans.
