Murder on the Orient Express
I wasn't sure how to enjoy a movie adapted from a whodunit I read a long time ago whose ending is so spectacular as to be unforgettable. The cast is impeccable, although there is something pulpy about this reading of the Agatha Christie novel, every character (including Poirot) a bit too much. The visuals are stunning, and I enjoyed myself but never felt any real tension (unlike in the BBC's adaptation of And then there were none.) All in all, I had a good time, but the movie doesn't stand out (even within Branagh's own filmography.)
