On The Spot by The Hot 8 Brass Band
The Hot 8 is one of the hottest New Orleans brass bands, on the funkier side of the genre. Their latest album rocks, like all of their albums I guess. I particuarly like what they do with covers here (particuarly Sweetest Taboo). It's a really good album even if not particularly distinctive compared to the rest of their discography.
