Bride Stories 9 by Kaoru Mori
The lack of a strong narrative thread is a little less felt in this 9th installment than in the previous one as the action (if you can call it that) focuses mostly on Pariya and her doubts about her promised (or rather her doubting that he is interested in her). It's a great example of a character evolving and that focus gives the story some depth.
