Good Omens
Just as Good Omens was released, the reviews were glowing and fantastic. The second wave was more critical, disappointed at a certain vacuity of it all. I'm somewhere in between. I found it to be a very enjoyable and well produced show, with a great cast overall (Tennant and Sheen in particular) and a fun, positive vibe that you don't see in many shows anymore. But I also didn't expect anything with a whole lot of depth. The novel, after all, wasn't exactly the deepest of the deep. I had fun watching it with my teenage son, and would probably watch it again in a few years to spot all the easter eggs I might have missed.
