Le Grand Homme by Hubert and Gatignol
The third volume of the Ogres-Dieux saga seems at first to take a sharp turn again, like the second volume did, but actually it's picking up the story where volume one left off : Petit is on the run with his sweetheart when they are attacked by the Chamberlain's men. Petit is rescued by a strange brigand, Lours. In order to flee the clutches of the Chamberlain's cunning right hand man, they head back to the Old Forest where Lours comes from, a foreboding place that even the giants did not dare enter... Still as gripping, with a great construction (the historical notes contribute the necessary world building), it continues the series in wonderful fashion. Cannot wait for the next installment.
