La Famille by Suzanne Privat and Tristan Garnier

La Famille by Suzanne Privat and Tristan Garnier

While working on Les Mystères de Paris, I had heard about "la Famille", a sect-like regroupment of families in the East of Paris that have been living as a quasi closed community for over a century, leading to lots of in-breeding. I had even jotted down somewhere that I should use it in the game, but in the end it slipped my mind. By chance, my wife bought this graphic novel, which if not autobiographical is narrated from the point of view of a young woman who discovers when her dad passes away that he was born inside "the family" and escaped it, but not unscathed. Good narrative, very cool (and creepy) subject, very much recommended.
