Brass Band by Benny Greb
Rarely, algorithms actually suggest something relevant. This came up on my Youtube and I had no idea who Benny Greb was. The recent video of a small scale brass band (drums, sousaphone and just two horns) doing really interesting stuff with the brass band form prompted me to dig and find this 2009 release (I hope the more recent stuff gets released as well). Benny Greb, it turns out, it a stellar drummer and well known amongst drummers. What I find fascinating here though is how rich the instrumentals are despite (or maybe because of) the minimalism of the line-up. Really interesting.
