Feathergun by Rishloo

My friend Jacqueline exposed me to Rishloo, which I therefore discovered only 14 years after the band broke up. When it comes to Progressive Metal, I find that my tastes are narrow in that too much technicity (and particularly too much double bass drumming) ruins the experience for me, and so does growling. But if you take those out, you're often left with variations on Haken that I struggle to differentiate. Rishloo hits the sweet spot, great singer, super talented musicians, but focused on serving the sons. I'm going to have to explore the (limited number of) other albums now.
