Revoir Paris (1 & 2) by Schuiten and Peeters
I hadn't read anything by Schuiten and Peeters in a decade, and when I found out about this new dyptich at a friend's place I decided to try it out. I should stress that this is not part of the Invisible Cities (Cités Invisibles) continuum that has made them famous. Revoir Paris features all the great qualities of previous collaborations between these two: fantastically nostalgic graphic style, sweeping architectures and a melancholy je-ne-sais-quoi. Having said that, the story itself is shallow and mostly confused. In the end I wasn't convinced.
