Marie-Francine

I quite like Valérie Lemercier and her brand of humour, but I'm afraid this movie is nonetheless a failure. The actors (Lemercier and Timsit) are not to blame, and in fact there's a real chemistry between them that could have made this a rousing success. Unfortunately, the movie never flows, it feels like a juxtaposition of vaguely related scenes few if any of which contribute to a story. There are some funny moments, but it all feels artificial as a consequence. Disappointing.
