One drop of truth by the Wood Brothers

I'd kind of given up on the Wood Brothers. The sparse sound that I found so engaging in the early albums had gradually been replaced by a less original band sound. I associated this to the addition of a drummer, but One Drop of Truth has proven me wrong: despite the trio nature of the album, the sparseness that so seduced me is back. One Drop of Truth is powerful and engaging, treading a fine line between blues and folk without sounding like folk-blues. Great to have the Brothers I loved so much back !
