Children of Men
I first saw this when it was released over a decade ago. It smacked me in the face at the time, and I decided my boys were ripe for a bit of dystopia. The movie more than stands the test of repeated viewing, both visually and story wise. Not for the faint of heart, and certainly not one of those glitzy futures we are often confronted to (even in dystopias). This is dark, gritty, depressing and hopeful all at the same time. Truly a great science-fiction movie (if you can call it that) with some V for Vendetta (the graphic novel) undertones.
