The Invention of Lying
I'd already watched this a few years ago, and enjoyed it, but watched it again with family and enjoyed it more. It's not a masterpiece, and probably tries to be too many things at the same time, but it's a truly original comedy (which is rare enough) with a powerful core concept: imagine our world, in which no one knows how to lie. Whatever you say is true (and often direct and offensive)... until Mark Bellamy, in a desperate straight, lies to save his skin... and finds out he can do it again and again. But lies are fickle things and while you might lie for the best of reasons, you then have to lie some more to cover up your lies until... I'll let you watch the movie.
