La Cantine de Minuit v3 by Yarô Abe
This Manga (Midnight Diner in English) is really turning out to be one my favourite pieces of comic work. The pitch is constant: the chef in the midnight diner will cook whatever you ask for if he has the ingredients, and he's open from midnight til 6 AM. His customers are a cross section of night life from Tokyo. This is really about people and humanity in general, it's about the love of food and how what we eat tells a lot about who we are. It's about childhood memories and some of the compulsive links between important events or strong emotions and food. It's, ultimately, about love, and it's fantastic. Highly recommended.
