Les Producteurs by Antoine Bello
The conclusion to Bello's intelligent thriller trilogy promises much, but fails to deliver. The starting point is a threat on the organisation that the characters belong to, but that thread is underexploited and peters out. Most of the book is devoted to yet another improbable (and sadly pointless) falsification. It's a disappointing ending, despite a couple of really good passages on the nature of truth and history. So kudos for including such considerations in a thriller, but sadly Bello doesn't know how to bring it to a satisfying conclusion.
