Broken Homes by Ben Aaronovitch. I remembered from my first read a few years ago having loved Broken Homes and remembered it as my favourite Rivers of London novel. Upon second reading, I stand by that statement. On the whole it's a bit more coherent than the previous ones (although to be fair, coherence is not Aaronovitch's strong suit), but more importantly it really delves into interesting bits of London's social history, and delivers an awesome ending that shifts the series in a slightly different direction. Really really good stuff.
