We went to see this on a whim and it turned out to be a stunning movie, and a tour de force. The pitch is simple: Asger is a cop who works a night shift in a police call center. A woman calls in who's been abducted and even though it's not his job, Asger tries to solve the case from the call center. The entire movie is set in two rooms in the call center, and is centered on the performance of Jakob Cedergren who plays Asger. It's a stunningly effective huis clos, clautrophobic and anxiety inducing. It's also a masterful performance by Cedergren and other actors (even though we only ever hear their voices). Fantastic and unlike anything I'd ever seen before.
