I walked into this game a little reluctantly on the recommendations of my friend Côme. I like farm management games, but this was a bit on the pricey side (apart from Civilization, I haven't spent more than a couple of Euros on a video game in ages). But Candy Crush is a bore these days and I'm getting a bit fed up with how insanely hard Polytopia is to three star. Anyway, Stardew Valley is deliciously old school, a mix of Zelda/Pokemon style graphics and sim city style development options, but at a super granular level. I thought that would annoy me quickly, and it is a bit irritating at times how slow things move, but it's addictive nonetheless. Beyond farming, there's plenty else to do and while I haven't really explored the relationship stuff yet, the rest is really fun. Highly recommended and worth its 9 EUR.
