The King of Birds by Alexander Utkin
This graphic novel offers the telling or retelling of Russian folklore stories in a really colourful and frankly graphically stunning way. The book is suitable for kids who enjoy folk tales, but it's equally awesome for adults who enjoy folk tales. Since I'm a sucker for tales and the way the main story is told here is superbly in line with the kind of symbolic meets adventure stories I love, I could not but be smitten. When's the next one out ?
