With my son Lucien we watched the complete Kaamelott over the last few months. I had seen the first couple of seasons multiple times, but the further we went the less I remembered, which was great because as the series becomes less focused on punchline comedy and more on story the surprise was intact. All in all I'm quite impressed with how well it's held over time. Many disliked and criticized the transition from short formats (5 minute episodes) to regular size 45 mn episodes from Season 5, but I think Astier managed that transition about as well as it could be managed. And the series by no means stops to be funny after Season 4, it's just darker and not so light hearted. I really like how Astier has woven Arthurian myth into his retelling. I'll probably not rewatch this for a while, but my youngest (Madeleine) who has seen a few episodes is already asking, so I suspect in 4-5 years I'll be able to watch the whole thing again.
