L'âge d'or vol 1 by Pedrosa and Moreil
This hefty volume is a graphically surprising mediaval fairy tale, but not in the usual way. The starting point is when the princess set to inherit the throne at her father's demise is evicted in favour of her younger brother. Loyalists free her, but from then on it's one long flight through a fractious kingdom where the downtrodden start to rebel. It's vary poetic and very political at the same time. Truly superb, I can't wait for the next volume (and hope this won't be too long of a tale...)
