Pline vol 1 by Mari Yamazaki and Tori Miki

Pline vol 1 by Mari Yamazaki and Tori Miki

I was curious about this manga, considering its revolves around natural philosopher Pliny, considered to be one of the earliest documented "scientists" in Roman times. The manga captures that dimension nicely, both when his intuitions are correct and when they are (by modern standards) ridiculous. I was less taken by the disjointed narrative structure, which made it confusing but also very unclear where the story is going. I'll probably give the second volume a chance, but I have my doubts.
