The Sword in the Stone by TH White

The Sword in the Stone by TH White

I'd read this a long time ago and had fond memories of it, but also of the second book in the 4-book series. I don't think I ever read #3 and #4 so I thought I'd start afresh. To bo honest, while there are plenty of brilliant moments in the Sword in the Stone, both the writing and the pacing are dated. TH White revels in long descriptions that don't contribute much to the story. Still, overall, it's a good and entertaining book, and a twisted outlook on Arthurian myth. I'm taking a break before delving into The Queen of Air and Darkness, the second installment of the Once and Future King tetralogy.
