We loved the movie, which invents a thrilling story of how the famous play Cyrano de Bergerac might have been written. We naturally wanted to see the play that the movie had been adapted from, but unfortunately the magic did not work as well. It could be the cast, or it could be that we'd seen the movie too recently. In the end, it wasn't unpleasant but it felt bland.
