Hâsib et la Reine des Serpents vol 2 by David B.
I really enjoyed the first volume of this 1001 Nights inspired story by one of my favourite graphic novelist, David B. But vol 2 came out when I was living in Asia and I lost track until my wife got the second (and final) installment for me on my birthday. In order to honour the occasion I reread the first volume and then delved with great joy and anticipation into this second one. David B.'s graphic ingenuity and imagination is really what I love here. The motifs of the story are 1001 Nights derived for sure, with stories within stories and other classic elements of the myth and folklore, but the story is enjoyable and delivered with gusto.
