Hellboy Library Edition volume 1 by Mike Mignola
Having enjoyed Bowling with Corpses so much, I decided to give Hellboy another shot. Some years ago I got the first volume of the library collection for my eldest son, and so I went and reread that. It's gorgeous, as you'd imagine, not just because it's Mignola but because it's a large format. That said, I failed to connect with the character or the plot just like I failed 10 years ago. It's a pleasant read, but just too cliché for me to register more than a passing enjoyment.
