Drought Dragon Desolation by Liam Pàdraig Ó Cuilleanàin
This is an OSE module by the Merry Mushmen with a desert-y and dragon-y theme. The modules in this series are all designed for a good few sessions of play, and this one, like Ó Cuilleanàin's previous installment The Horrendous Hounds of Hendenburgh is structured as a sandbox adventure. A read through shows you the strengths of this approach, well supported by the layout and ergonomy, making it quite easy to run once you've read it in depth a few times. Where Hendenburgh had a classic fantasy feel (in fact, a medieval faeries and montheistic religion vibe) Drought Dragon Desolation has more of a desert vibe. I can absolutely see how it would make a super fun adventure to run, but I didn't take to it as easily as I did to Hendenburgh (which I'm currently running). I think I expected the desert theme to be a bit more cliché, to create more thematic hooks. Still, I can totally see how it would make for a fun few sessions of play!
