Babayaga by Toby Barlow
I can't remember who recommended this, and that's probably just as well because all in all I didn't like it much. The 1950s Paris depicted was desperately trying to feel authentic but it came across as horribly cliché instead, the fantastic components were cool, but the rest was just a little bit too over the top. Ultimately, I think though that the fact that I didn't really like any of the characters all that much (except Zoya, I guess) meant it was a drag going through the whole thing. You can't win them all...
