Half a War by Joe Abercrombie
3rd and last in the Shattered Sea trilogy, Half a War is a fitting finale to what turned out to be a surprisingly good series. Originally billed as "young adult", the series is actually only that because of the multiplicity of "young" characters coming to grips with the harshness of this proto-viking life. I loved the first two and enjoyed this third just as much. Kudos to Abercrombie for daring to tackle hard questions at the price of playing out the corruption of otherwise lovable characters. Highly recommended.
