Cibola Burn by James S.A. Corey
The authors have managed to keep the interest going in this scifi series so far. While the first three volumes dealt with the emergence of an alien lifeform in the solar system and its consequences, this fourth installment changes the pace quite a bit: rogue colonists and chartered corporates fight over the rights to a new planet accessed via the portal that was secured at the end of the previous book. Holden and team are sent as peacemakers just before all hell breaks lose. The ending feels a little bit like a repetition of the ending of vol 3. but otherwise this fourth installment is a nice change of scenery and circumstances. The series keeps going strong!
