Mrs. Peregrine's home for peculiar children by Ransom Riggs
The photo on the cover of the book attracted me to it, and while this Young Adult novel is not without its faults, the photographic iconography does a lot to make you forget them. It's an enjoyable and unusual read (despite some YA tropes) as long as you don't scrutinize things too far. I had fun and will probably try the next book in the series although I worry that it will be downhill from here.
