Scott Henderson live at 1563 on the East (Hong-Kong)
I only knew Henderson by reputation, but beggars can't be choosers and there's so little jazz here in Hong Kong that after checking a couple of videos online my son and I decided to go. I really enjoyed the overall sound and the dynamics of Scott and his band although, as often with jazz rock as far as I'm concerned, the further out Scott went in his improvisations, the further lost I felt. It was enjoyable, but it's by no means easy listening. Oh and boy was it loud... Still, quite exhilarating, and the son liked it as well, so all in all an evening well spent.
