Monsieur Malaussène by Daniel Pennac
This is the fourth installment in the Malaussène series, and a much chunkier book than the previous ones. It's good stuff for the most part, with the exception of a few chapters where the author tricks you in a quite nasty way. I remember being super pissed off at that the first time, but this time, even though I'd forgotten about it, what irritated me is simply that it breaks the narrative for way too long. Still, good book, still full of wacky Frenchness.
