Le Goût du Kimchi (the Taste of Kimchi) by Yeou-sik Hong
I don't know much about Korean graphic novels (although I absolutely adore The Red Bicycle) so I read this with absolutely fresh eyes. This is a story about the ties between a son and his aging and ailing mother and how the common link between them is food. It's a depressing read, which doesn't make it a bad one. Worth it if your morale can withstand it.
