Precious Time 2.0 by Sébastien Charlier
Disclaimer: Sébastien is not only a stellar harmonica player, he's aslo a friend. Precious Time 2.0 is the second in a series of three albums, a voyage through Seb's musical influences and eras. This is Jazz Fusion and as such not a genre I know much about or listen much to. The album certainly has an exhilerating feel to it, and Seb's diatonic doesn't seem at all out of place in this ensemble (which, for those who know diatonic, is a feat in and of itself). I wish at times that the harp sound had more bite to it, and generally would have probably appreciated it if the album sounded a bit more raucous. But that's my own tastes coming into it. I think I'd appreciate it more live.
