The Magnificent Seven
Despite my taste for gritty western, I'd never see the Magnificent Seven. I knew it was inspired by Kurosawa's Seven Samurai and that it featured lots of 60s action movie stars, but that was about it. Ultimately I was a little dissapointed. The movie didn't lean on what I would have thought to be the more interesting part (especially the deaths at the end) and feels lopsided as a consequence. I have better memories of Seven Samurai but now I'm not sure I want to try and revisit them...
